We hope you also update your current iOS version into iOS 11. and some iPhone users. who are already using iOS 11, They are complaining of battery overheating.

And some of the devices got hot, especially the area under the cameras where adjoined the lock button(That’s exactly where Apple chip locates).

And they are already trying to find more ways to fix that problem.

Like, turned off all background apps, Location services, Siri, App notifications, even turned on Low Power Mode. but nothing way is working and still same problem.

So if unfortunately, you are facing the same problem with your device and you are finding ways to fix battery overheating problem.

Then I want to tell you that, you are at the right place. because in this article, I am showing you the powerful and effective steps. which help you to fix this problem.

Note: Before the start, keep in mind that:

  • Apple added more features in the iOS 11. so it will drain your device’s battery little bit more than before. And it will not be with you only but with all iOS users. and I hope that Apple will work on it in the future.
  • The size of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus’s battery is smaller than iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. so if your iPhone 8/iPhone 8 Plus is not endurable than iPhone 7/iPhone 7 Plus, it’s normal.

1: Call Apple support or go the Apple store to check your battery (Battery overheating).

This step is only for those users, who are bought new iPad, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 plus and iPhone X. if you are bought it only for some days and your battery is working well. then you have to need to skip this step and go to the next step.

First of all, you have to need to make sure that your battery is without a problem. otherwise, things couldn’t be easier. you can change new iPhone or the new battery for checking your battery. and you can also call Apple support directly to remote detection.

When you are the call to Apple support then you have to need to follow some instructions the Apple support asked. and if you are successful to follow instructions then they can detect your battery remotely. and if you want to make an appointment with Apple store to check your battery then you can do it.

2: Check apps usage, get rid of the incompatible app (Battery overheating).

Well, I am gonna tell you a simple way. which help you to self-check your battery draining. firstly, go to the Settings then tap on the Battery. write down the time of Usage and Standby and after that lock your device. after five minutes check time again. if the standby time increase by 5 minutes and the usage time increased by 1 minutes that’s mean your battery is ok.

You can run the only 64-bits apps on the new iOS 11. However, some 64-bits apps may not compatible with the latest iOS version that might eat your battery life. If in this case, first of all, unlock your device and go to the settings and then tap on the battery then the battery usage option.

You can learn the battery life each app consumed. if there is an app. which is consumed your battery too much and you have not used it app more then uninstall that app without hesitating.

3: Reset your iPhone/iPad (drain and overheating battery).

If with the 2 steps above, you don’t know that, which apps are draining your device battery then a simple way to help is resetting, we can reset all the settings in the iPhone and iPad. Reset the Network Settings and Erase All the Contents and Settings. first, see two options for resetting. if both ways can’t working and still your battery draining not stop. then you have to need to Erase All Contents and Settings. it will delete your all data and system settings. only in this way can you get avoid of the apps or other file or whatever it should be that lead to the battery drain issue.

Simply, Firstly, go to the Settings then tap on the General and after that, tap on the Reset and now tap on the Erase All Contents and Settings. but, keep in mind that, before resetting your device. don’t forget to create your device backup. And the factory resetting won’t reset your iOS version, you will be still on iOS 11.

4: Re-install System via iTunes or downgrade iOS 11 to iOS 10

If still not working the steps above, then there must be something wrong with your OS, especially if you have just updated to the latest iOS version, and maybe the system is not installed properly on your devices. so, you have now just 2 steps.

Step: 1 Downgrade from iOS 11 to iOS 10.
Step: 2 Reinstall your iOS version via iTunes.

Actually, the former option is what exactly Apple support gives to me. If you want to re-install the system then activate DFU mode first. Here’s how.

  • If you are using the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 plus then Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons at the same time. when you see recovery mode screen then release both buttons.
  • And if you are using the iPhone 6 and earlier, iPod touch, iPad: then just press and hold the sleep/wake and home buttons at the same time. when you see the Recovery mode screen then you can release both buttons.
